Biarritz

Sorry for not posting in a while. I have been quite busy and using my spare time for other endeavors besides putting up pictures and telling blog stories. Don't worry, though; that just gives me more to write about in the future, and I'm hoping I will have plenty of time 7th week.

Anyway, speaking of 7th week, I'm writing to describe my plans, which are centered around a trip to Biarritz (on the oceanly tip of the red-colored province above). I wasn't sure if I was going to travel or stay in Paris for the 7th week break, but after several incidents with people being weird and annoying around here and the fact that the workload is utterly exhausting me, I eventually reached the conclusion that I would rather leave and try to put this whole program out of my mind for a week or so while seeing other parts of the country. So, since I remembered fondly my all-too-brief Biarritz sojourn after 8th grade, I decided to make my return and try to find my desired relaxation there. Hopefully, since it's winter, things won't be too crowded and I can both see what the town has to offer as well as find a lot of time to just relax and not think about papers or work. Projects include reading, writing (and pretending to be an expat), sleeping, relaxing, and writing postcards and letters, in addition to, like I said, seeing the town.

Anyway, I'll be taking a train down there the day before there is set to be another strike and then staying for a week, so hopefully public transit will once again have sorted itself out by then and Sarkozy will consider possibly not being a dick.

Anyway, that's really all I should say right now, since it's past 3 and I really ought to be getting to bed. Anyway, though, I promise to do more updating in the future and catch the world (of three people who read this blog) up on my adventures and follies (mostly follies) in Paris.
